Two anecdotes about my children and Ruby. The other day, Ruby was fussing, I was tired, so I took a time out from her and laid her down on Elliot's bed, under the ceiling fan (she loves to watch ceiling fans). Ruby quieted down, in awe of the ceiling fan, and I told Dottie to watch her while I did the dishes. I came back a few minutes later to check on the girls, and what did I see? Dottie having a family home evening lesson with Ruby. She had a picture of Jesus in the Americas from the Gospel Art Kit, and she was telling Ruby about Jesus. So sweet.
In the car this week, Elliot told me, "I can't wait for Ruby to grow up so I can share my toys with her and she can share her toys with me." Another sweet moment from one of my children.
One more: last night, during Priesthood session, I had to put the kids to bed by myself. Overwhelmed with a tired infant, I put Dottie to work. She put a diaper on Elliot (yes, we're having nighttime pottying issues), his jammies on, and even read him stories. By the time she was done, I had Ruby somewhat settled, so I was able to brush their teeth and get them to bed. I'm grateful I have a child old enough to help!

I love the stories! You have the funniest nick names for your kids! Love my crazy daughter!
I liked Elliot's toy sharing thoughts. He shows how much he loves his new little sister. And Dottie is such a big helper!
You are a wonderful Mom! Your children are perfectly sweet...I know it doesn't always seem like it. I'm so glad Dottie is becoming a big help. I like how I'm in the background of Elliot eating a banana.
I love that Dottie had FHE with Ruby. They are all so cute!
precious!
Sweet stories about children are the best! Loved the photos! Everybody is growing so quickly! Especially Ruby! Hugs to all!
Just had a thought Charlotte! Write up the FHE w/ Ruby story for The Friend! Need to see your name in print!
So sweet Char! My baby is now 16 days old and has started the fussy/screaming stage. What do i do?
Oh Char-Bar, no one comes up with better nicknames than you. I would be happy to make Ruby a hat. If she has a pink one, I'm not sure she'd want the eyeballs on it, would she?
I need a Dottie! So cool.
