Sorry it's been awhile. What can I say, I've been busy. Joe's Grandma Hansen passed away two Fridays ago, and last week, we went to the funeral in SLC. It was a sad occasion, but we know she is in a better place. We will really miss Grandma.
It was nice to see family that we haven't seen for sometime. Of course, I forgot my camera on the trip. So no pictures. Joe's had the week off for spring break, and we've just been busy. I just feel like my life is getting a little crazy lately, you know?
So I wanted to share with you the funny thing Dottie said on Monday night. We had Family Home Evening, which is just an opportunity to do something as a family and share a spiritual message to educate our children about God, the Bible, the Book of Mormon, etc. It's pretty basic when your kids are little. We show Dottie a picture of Jesus or one of the Bible or Book of Mormon stories, and then we talk about it. Lately, we've been talking about Satan vs. Jesus, or how Jesus wants us to be happy and to make good decisions, and how Satan wants us to be unhappy and make bad decisions.
Anyway, Dottie has become a little too keenly interested in Satan. I'm thinking maybe we should just cut out the talk about Satan and focus more on Jesus. On Monday, after Family Home Evening, Dottie would NOT go to bed. She got out like 20 times in an hour. One of the times that I was putting her back to bed, she said to me, "Mommy, Satan wants me to get out of bed."
I had to laugh. I'm sure all of you moms out there wonder if your child is possessed, as I do, and then she says something like that, and I'm like, "Is this proof?" Let's hope not.

not too long ago liam was in his room whining about how he didn't want to go to bed. he said 'but mom, jesus doesn't want me to go to sleep!" he and dottie should get together and start a club.
that's hilarious!!!
So funny about Dottie. On the positive side, at least you know she is paying attention to your family home evenings. Even if she is paying a little too much attention :)
I always have called her Demon Dottie...
How innocent! How alive in Christ! Looks like Dottie will need a follow up lesson from Moroni 8.
