Sorry it's taken me so long. I've been super busy. Young Women's has been crazy lately, and so has everything else. I feel like I don't have any spare time any more! Plus, my blog has been acting strange again. But I figured it out, I think. So here's to celebrating my sweetheart!
Ruby turned 1 on January 30th. For the occasion, my mom came from PA and joined us. It was so fun to have her here! I dropped mostly everything from my busy schedule, and just spent time with her! Ruby has a soft spot for dolls, so my mom got her a Princess Rapunzel baby doll to play with. I think Elliot and Dottie are enjoying it just as much as she is. I keep on finding the doll hidden in their rooms.

This is my wild one eating her birthday cake. We made Boston Cream Cake. Ruby loved it so much, she ate three servings. That's my kind of girl! She also likes to use her hair as a napkin, so we had to give her a bath promptly after she ate.

And I'm not sure why these pictures are posting in this strange way, but that's okay. They're mostly pictures from my mom's camera of Ruby. Our little girl is such a joy. I can't believe it's been a whole year. She has started walking, but only a few steps at a time. I'm used to children that run as soon as they can walk, so I enjoy her hesitation! I've had to put up the baby gate because we have very steep stairs and Rube hasn't figured out how to slide down them yet.
She is a very affectionate and social baby. She loves being around her big brother and sister. When she sees kids that she knows well, she immediately squeals in delight! When I get her from her nap, she says, "Hi!" and gives you the biggest grin. She is such a joyful child. I still don't want her to grow anymore, because I love just how she is right now so much!

Ruby loves her food just like her grandma! I loved my visit with you guys--the time went way too fast, but I have wonderful pictures and memories of a great time! Love you!

Oh, I love hearing about your sweet kids. I am so excited to meet Miss Ruby in just a couple of months here! She's quite a lovely girl. PS - Ava has that exact same navy dress with the pink polka dots! I should bring it so they can be twiners. :)
