Dottie turns 6!

That's right, this crazy little girl of mine is now 6! Yes, that's a slip on her head. She's taken a keen interest in weddings since all of the weddings last summer.

I said last June that I didn't want her to grow past the age of5, but I've since decided that 6 is the perfect age where she should stop growing. She's so smart, helpful, inquisitive, funny, and she's been getting along great with Elliot since school has finished. Yet, she's still very innocent. I want her to keep her innocence, so no more growing, Dottie!
This is an example of her getting along with Elliot. They sat together for about an hour this morning watching TV while I got things done around the house. This is a new and exciting development in their relationship for me. Not that they don't fight; it's just become less frequent, and mostly one-ended (Elliot attacking Dottie).
Dottie wanted a pool party, so we went over to the housing office's pool and had a few friends come. It was great; short and sweet, because then, we celebrated my birthday. We celebrated Dottie's birthday on mine because it was my parents' last day in town, and we wanted them there for her party. My birthday consisted of going to Maggiano's, which led into a late night for the kids with Ruby crying all the way home. It was probably too long of a day for her. But it was still good food for me!

And the kids!

Happy Birthday, my sweet girl!

Happy B-day Dottie. Charlotte I hate to tell you what's worse than thinking about buying Dottie a wedding dress is buying her a prom dress! Ew! Man, can you imagine have a teenage daughter like us one day?
